A fantastic interactive 2 hours with Wednesday and Enid. What to expect during the two hours:

  • Wednesday will talk to the guests in the only way she knows how to not be excited (ha ha).
  • Enid will be her usual excited bubbly self.

  • You will be greeted by Belle and some villagers with photo opportunities and a special visit from the beast himself!
  • Our team will then present a beautiful themed afternoon tea including a selection of finger sandwiches, wraps and savoury pastries.

  • The afternoon tea also includes a glass of prosecco for the adults and a mocktail for the children.

1pm – 2.30pm

  • Lots of interactive fun with the villagers, Belle and the Beast.

Join us as we celebrate the Autumn Equinox and a Day of Balance.

A time when we welcome the new season and the cycle of nature and take the opportunity to reflect and look forward to what we want to achieve in our own personal growth.

We have an inspirational day of speakers and activities to guide you on a patch of discovery and balance.

Our headline speaker, author of 12 books, Dr David Hamilton will provide an insight into his latest best seller, ‘The Joy of Actually Giving a F*ck’. With a PhD in organic chemistry, he is a leading motivational speaker on kindness.

Dr Hamilton will be joined by wellbeing experts June Moore, Janice Clyne and Stephen Elliot and there will be a chance to meet speakers during book signings.

Relax as we welcome the Autumn Equinox with spiritual drumming and a led meditation session.

Why not add to the day by enjoying a specially balanced lunch in the Glasshouse Restaurant.

Breakfast with Santa and his helpers

The Magic of the Festive Season starts with Santa and his helpers. Join in the festive family fun in the banqueting suite, of the beautiful 4* Alona Hotel.

Here’s what to expect:

  • A delicious buffet breakfast for everyone, including Christmas Pancakes, Sausages, Bacon, Eggs, Hash Browns, Fresh Fruit, Muffins and Fruit Juices.
  • Santa’s helpers will be on hand to entertain the children with song, dance and Christmas party games.
  • Write your letter to Santa and post it in Santa’s Special Post Box (a letter and writing materials will be left on the table for every child)
  • Santa will be joining us throughout the experience to chat with the children, before he heads back to Santa’s Work Shop.
  • Each child will be given a special golden ticket from Santa to take to one of Santa’s Work Shops (within the event area) and here every child can choose a quality gift, left by Santa.
  • Everyone receives a ticket for our Christmas Train Ride. This runs from the front of M&D’s main building every 20 minutes

INTRODUCING OUR WEDDING COORDINATORS

Sinnead Connelly and Kimberley Napier are our resident Wedding Coordinators whose roles are to support and guide our couples and ensure they have a fabulous and memorable wedding.

Experienced event organisers, Sinnead and Kimberley provide a seamless service from the moment an enquiry becomes a booking to the big day itself, designed a fantastic and tailored experience for each couple.

When it comes to offering advice the two agree that organisation and planning are key to a successful wedding day.

Kimberley, who is in the midst of planning her own wedding said, “We always advise clients to start planning about eighteen months before their wedding date. Throughout this time we are regularly in touch with clients.  We arrange an initial show round and planning meeting and then arrange to see the couple four months before the big day, then four weeks and finally two days before.

“We discuss menu plans, colour schemes, accommodation requirements and much more.  It’s always important to keep in regular contact as well with suppliers out with the hotel to ensure that they are up to speed with all the planning.”

Sinnead continues, “It’s a great feeling when you see the happy couple on their big day and you know that you’ve helped contribute towards such a memorable event.  We start working on a wedding about 8am on the day and then stay with the couple until they sit down for the wedding meal in the evening.

“Usually, it’s the brides that are very thankful, but we recently had one groom who was so thankful, he cried. It was really touching.”

And when it comes to unusual requests the coordinators simply take them in their stride.  Sinnead adds, “We recently had a request from a bride for her dogs to walk down the aisle ahead of her.  They were complete in their tuxedos, and it was lovely.

“We also have many requests from couples who want to be photographed on the carousel in the Theme Park and even the thrill rides.  But in our job, nothing is ever too much trouble.”
